UZES ROOFTOPS-SOUTH EAST 2025
This work is a stitched drawing made from sketches I did while in the small town of Uzes, in the Occitanie region of southern France. In the town centre there is a charming little medieval garden and tall tower which can be climbed for spectacular views of the area. I loved seeing all the clay rooftops, chimneys and greenery across the very picturesque landscape looking south east towards the river.

SEGURET ARCHWAY 2025
This work is a stitched drawing that references sketches I did while in the Provence village of Seguret, France. This archway is one of the first things you see as you arrive in this lovely medieval hillside village. I enjoyed the beautiful views across the Vaucluse, wandering around the cobbled streets and following the path that leads up to the hilltop chateau ruins above the village.

THREADY GORDES 2024
his work is a stitched drawing that references sketches I did while in the Provence village of Gordes, France. I love looking at the medieval buildings with their aged quirky lines and amazing history. Gordes is a popular and lovely hilltop village that I read about in many of Peter Mayle’s novelsand always wanted to visit. This view was captured as I was leaving. I decided to leave all the loose threads ends I usually tidy away to the back, out as they landed on the front. They create an unexpected texture and layer to the stitched lines of the image.
