Sentiers des Ochres framed ambroidery
$995.00 CAD
This work is a stitched drawing made from sketches I did while in the Provence village of Roussillon, France. This area is know for it’s amazing natural colourful landscape. Sentiers des Ochres is an incredible wonder, a park that was once a quarry for raw pigments. I loved walking around amazed at the reds, oranges, pinks and yellows of the earth. I tried to capture something of the magnificent views that inspired me.
White organza and collaged silks are embroidered freely with colourful threads using a basic domestic sewing machine as my drawing tool.
The 8”x 11”embroidery is mounted within an acid free mat and framed in a contemporary white wood 13”x 16” frame, ready to hang.
The embroideries are professionally framed by the artist using museum quality acid free supplies sourced from Canadian companies.
The white wood contemporary frames are locally made by a family owned business.
Each work is packaged to travel safely to your home or office within a reusable custom made tote, using reusable, repurposed and recycled materials.
Each artwork comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
