This fanciful composition brings together some of my favourite inspirations. My love of observing and drawing birds, my little Delft teacup and sewing notions. In this colourful embroidery Delfie is busy preparing her sewing supplies. 

Bright and metallic threads are embroidered onto appliquéd silks using my basic domestic sewing machine as a drawing tool, as I stitch freely over the surface creating rich textures, patterns and image.

This original artwork measures 2.25” x 2.25 and is mounted within a 6"x 6" acid free mat and contemporary white frame ready to hang.
