This playful circular composition is of two sewing birds imagined courting each other amongst their notions. 

Bright and metallic threads are embroidered onto appliquéd silks using my basic domestic sewing machine as a drawing tool, stitching freely over the surface creating rich textures, patterns and images of the embroidery. 

This original circular artwork measures 5.25” across and is mounted onto an acid free mat within a 10"x10" white wood contemporary frame, ready to hang.
