This work is a stitched collage drawing made from a watercolour I did while in the Provence village of Banon, France. I loved seeing the clay rooftops, different colours and window choices on each house in the row.  I tried to capture something of the view that inspired me to stop and draw. 

White organza with silk collage is embroidered freely with cotton threads using a basic domestic sewing machine as my drawing tool. Shown here is the work in progress and artwork reference.

The 6-3/4”x 5-1/2” embroidery is mounted within an acid free mat surround ready for a 12“x 12” frame of your choice.
